Upon the completion of our South Grove site, it’s a good time to reflect on the hard work which has paid off, in the final of our three Walthamstow sites, following Centenary House and Hylands Road. The On Architecture team were appointed to complete the technical and construction design of the project (RIBA Stages 4 – Technical design. 5 – Manufacturing and construction. 6 – Handover. 7 – Use).

Our appointment required us to deliver and develop the project as a BIM level 2 design from the approved planning scheme, collaborating and coordinating with the Structural & Mechanical Engineer 3D models.

As with every scheme, our experience and expertise are required to overcome some tricky aspects of the site such as the proposed scheme is in close proximity to a railway line and other developing high rise schemes making noise, daylight / sunlight and height key factors in the projects design and form.
