£1.5 Million Refurbishment and Extension of a Grade II Listed Private House.
The east wing of the house was the original Jacobean Manor House, which needed extensive restoration due to major structural disrepair. An extension was added to the west wing of the house to further improve the level of accommodation along with a stable block and garage block with a 1 bedroom annex.
We worked closely with the client providing design concepts, layouts and schemes for the principal accommodation. We also provided detailed specifications for each room presented in room data sheets detailing the works required for the contractor.
New panelling was designed for the study reflecting the Jacobean period and the original Jacobean staircase was restored with new balustrade designed in keeping with the original features of the staircase and within the correct historical context.
